Obituary for Edward Tyson
Edward G. Tyson, 92, of Mt. Carmel, PA (formerly of Frackville) died
May 1, 2017, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, PA. He was the husband of Regina C. (Ford) Tyson who died in 2014. Born in Mt. Carmel, he was the son of the late Frank Tycewicz and Victoria Warsheski. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was previously a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Frackville, for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, Class of 1942.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II, having honorably served as a Technician, Fifth Grade, in Company B, 59th Signal Battalion, in the European Theatre. During his lifetime, he was employed in the printing trade at local newspapers and print shops, most recently at Creative Printing in Ashland, PA, and Seiders Printing in Pottsville, PA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, reading, and taking trips to the casino. He is survived by son Gregory and wife Geraldine, of Bethlehem, PA; daughter Regina Louise Allar and husband Joseph, of Muncy, PA; son Kevin, of Oswego, NY; grand-daughter Kirsten Vetter, of Bethlehem, PA; grandson Michael Allar and wife Jayme, of Northumberland, PA; great-grandchildren Zachary and Nathaniel Allar; nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by half-brothers Frank, Enoch, Anthony, and Clement Warsheski. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 9,2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Mt. Carmel,PA. Visitation Tuesday 11:30- 1:00 P.M. from the Willard Rothermel Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel, PA .
Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, at the convenience of the family,
